Testimonials

"I just want to say thank you! I’ve had my daughter at a number of camps this fall (and all were very good). However, yours was by far the best so far! The organization, teaching, personal attention, etc. was miles above any of the other camps. It seemed each player (even though there were a lot of them) got some sort of personal attention from each coach who was there! I also very much appreciated Coach Houseman (I believe) talking to the players at the end and how “real” world he was. My daughter is sure she wants to play collegiately and just began her freshman year. For her to hear that it’s okay to not be certain of which school(s) she should be looking at was awesome. Hearing that it’s okay to still be a kid when some of her friends and teammates already have their top 5 schools picked was very refreshing!

Again, thank you for a great weekend for the players as well as their parents! I’m definitely looking forward to bringing my girls to Byron Center for the tournament in July!"

Hi Coach Brad and Coach Matt,

I have been to several Blue Chip camps over the last few years and I wanted to thank you for the quality of camps you put on. The Blue Chip camps set the standard for all other camps I attended. As someone who met her future college coach at one of your camps, I can honestly saw that these camps really helped me to find the right school and softball program that I fit in at. I appreciate your dedication to the softball community and helping girls get recruited. I'll never forget my first time hearing Coach Matt tell the story of how Brittany Rogers went crazy cheering for the girl pinch hitting for her, and I knew right then that was the kind of person I wanted to become. The interaction with all the different coaches and feedback I received at your camps really helped me discover a new level of personal growth and leadership. Your camps gave me the opportunity to go from a player who was shy and nervous to talk to coaches, to attaining my dream of playing college softball next fall at Lourdes University. And now I talk to younger girls in my Gold Fastpitch travel organization about recruiting and I always mention going to Blue Chip camps because I know that is what positively impacted my recruiting and growth as a player.

I attached a couple pics of my signing day.

Thanks for Everything!

I just wanted to thank you for putting on a great camp.  My daughter Megan really had a good time.  I wasn't able to be there except for Wed. evening because I had to work, I thought the recruitment talk was great and I am sure very helpful for most girls.  We look forward to receiving the evaluations of her positions from all the coaches.
Thanks again for everything.

Just wanted to send you an email and let you know that my daughter thought the camp was great.
Thank You,

--Tammy Bachert

Just wanted to drop a line to say that my daughter, Emma (U12) throughly enjoyed the Blue Chip Softball Camp Aug 3-4.  After the camp she threw a perfect game! It hasn't hit her yet, nor does she understand the significance of it, but we are VERY proud of her. I also want to thank you for bringing this quality of camp, along with the coaches, to the Boyne area.

--Cinda Shumaker

The drills were awesome and very helpful!  The coaches' tips were really helpful, thanks!!!  The atmosphere was relaxed and fun and the coaches were great.  I would recommend this camp to others and I would participate in this camp again.  Thank you for everything!!

This morning my daughter, Laura, committed to play softball for Oakland University.  The reason for the note is to thank you and others for your efforts in putting together the Blue Chip Camps.  I am certain her attendance at your camp at Madonna this summer was helpful in her efforts to be seen by potentially interested coaches.  I was speaking to Coach White this morning and he certainly agrees.  He thinks the camps are well run and will only grow each year providing more and more high school players the instruction and exposure they need.  I expect your whole program is first class and look forward to attending a game in the future.  Thank you very much!!!!!

Brad and Matt great job on the tourney, and I almost left with that weather. Glad we stayed. Ground crews were awesome!

--Alec Lesko - Finesse Black 16U Head Coach

Thank you SO MUCH for putting on this tournament this past weekend.  It's so hard for teams to put a full team together because of Saturday HS committments but then it's great to get out and play.  I felt that you and Matt and his players did an AWESOME job of keeping everything moving and everyone was so nice and helpful.  For your first year of running the tournament, I thought you did a great job!  Thanks for the fun weekend and again you guys did awesome especially considering the awful weather that we had to deal with!

--Deb Sleeman - Lakeshore Storm 16U Blue Coach/Director

Your plan for the girls and its execution were superior. In my baseball life, I had been to many clinics, camps, showcases, etc.; few rivaled yours. I learned much from the camp, and the coaches Q&A was invaluable.

--Ted Alpert - Universtiy Liggett - Head Softball Coach

I just want to let you know that I had a great time at camp this week and to thank you for organizing such a great camp.  I always walk away learning something new, and I always have a great time playing in the scrimmage games that we play.

--Kristin Aslanian - Downriver Diamonds 16U Player

Thank you so much for the opportunity to attend yet another one of your camps! It is by far one of the best camps that I have attended. I received a lot of positive feedback and a few offers!

--Kelsea Cichocki - Northern Ice (ILL) 18U Player

My daughter attended your camp last year.  It is the best that we have attended and that is why I had my other daughter attend the one this past weekend.  She learned a lot and she loved it, she liked all the coaches.  I do tell everyone on my daughters teams about your camp and that I highly recommend it.

--Jean Lankford - Parent

I definitely did enjoy your camps as they probably were the best exposure camps that I attended.  I have committed to play at Grand Valley State University with Coach Woods as a 2013 commitment for next year.

--Ali Vander Meer - Michigan Athletics 18U

Wanted to send you a quick email and thank you for the camp this weekend. Abby enjoyed herself immensely, and she learned some new things about catching. She really enjoyed Matt working with her in that respect. Honestly...I thought the Q&A sessions at the end of each day were worth the price of admission themselves. Really good stuff. When I speak of MI Blue Chip Camps to softball friends it will be with a glowing review for sure.

--Jeff VanLake - Parent

Thank you for both the camp, it was one of the best camps I have attended.  I really liked the individualized attention from coaches.  At other camps I have been too, a lot of the instruction comes from the players.  This isn’t necessary a bad thing, just different.

I have to admit, I left the Blue Chip Camp with a new found confidence and a direction that I didn’t have before.  We (me and my parents) just didn’t really know what to do next.  After making the my 2013 travel team last year and successfully competing at a higher level than I had been playing, I knew that I wanted to play softball at the collegiate level.  I just didn’t know if I was good enough.  Getting the feedback last weekend that I got from collegiate softball coaches at the Blue Chip camp, gave me the confidence I needed to know that I do have the skills to play at the collegiate level.  Thank you for that.

Just wanted to say thank you. I attended the camp with my daughter yesterday. I enjoyed it thoroughly. What positive input you gave my daughter. I will be attending the winter camp also.
